Tammy Bean is the Director of Community Service Programs at Cedar Crest College and is also an adjunct faculty member teaching the Ethical Life course. As director, Tammy focuses her time and energy on working with students to help them move from being a member of a community to being an active engaged citizen. In addition, she works closely with student clubs and organizations through workshops, program planning and individual meetings.
In addition to Tammy’s work at the college, she is also actively engaged in the Allentown Community. She is currently a member of Women Build Steering Committee for Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley, the Community School Leadership Team for Central, Cleveland, McKinley and Roosevelt Elementary Schools, she represents Cedar Crest College on the Mentor Allentown Coalition and she is a member of the Volunteer Advisory Board for Good Shepherd Health Network. Previous community work includes being a grant reviewer for the United Way of the Lehigh Valley and Youth Service America’s Summer of Service program.
Tammy received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Mansfield University of PA and her Master of Education degree in Higher Education and Counseling from Kutztown University of PA.
