About
Discovery Night is a series of events that allow for the students to discover English Language Arts, Science, and Math. They are kicking off their first Discovery Night Oct. 25th from 6:00-7:00 pm. The focus is English Language Arts and the theme is focusing on bully awareness. We will begin the night together for special presentation, then break out into rooms where students and parents will hear a story, learn a reading strategy, and do a craft.
Volunteers are needed to help run crafts, parent sign in, snack distribution, and reading to the students. We are also in need of a few Spanish speaking volunteers as well.
*NOTE*
All volunteers need to have Child Abuse and Criminal Background checks.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Madeline at service@cedarcrest.edu or The Lutz Center of Community Service at ext. 3438.
